Today is the final day of week 2 of former President Donald Trump's Manhattan hush money trial. Judge Juan Merchan announced yesterday that the trial would end early this afternoon due to one of the jurors having an important appointment later this evening.
Court will be back in session this morning at the usual time of 9:30am Eastern. Prosecutors are now asking for additional penalties against Trump due to more alleged violations of his gag order. Judge Merchan has yet to rule on that request.
As he left court yesterday, Trump declined to speak about any of the testimony when questioned about it by reporters, citing the gag order. Trump did say that he's "very happy about the way things are going."
After leaving court yesterday, Trump took time to deliver pizzas to the New York Fire Department before heading back to Trump Tower.
